SOS Web Services was started by Roger Crossley in 1996 as a outlet for his absolute passion for anything to do with the emerging computer age. At that stage the Internet was in its infancy and BBS (Bulletin Board Systems) was the community that evolved to the Internet as we know it today. SOS was actually an electronic magazine written for this community by Roger, had its own reader program (SOSReader) and was downloaded and read by people all over the world. At one stage it even held the award of the longest running e-zine in the world. From that beginning we have been involved in the evolution of the Internet to where it is today and continue to be passionate about "All things Internet"
Gary Hiebner joined SOS in 2006 bringing his unique personality and understanding of all things related to not only Apple and Mac products, but PC and network environments with him. He is a valued partner in the business and subscribes fully to our values.
SOS has developed a special ethos of "small and personal is the right way". We do not have thousands of customers and have never advertised. Most of our customers have been with us from the beginning or have been referred to us from the existing base. We take our business personally as you, the customer are our business. We pride ourselves on being solution providers as opposed to knock and drop suppliers.
We will provide a quality solution with quality products, or not at all. We would rather refer the business elsewhere than put our reputation and integrity at risk with cheap or incorrectly specified products. To this end we have aligned ourselves with quality products and suppliers such as as Acer, Apple, Epson, HP, Intel, IS, Mecer, Microsoft and NOD32 Antivirus.

Our Customers
SOS deals primarily in the SME market but also has a medium sized base of individual and home users, as well as certain corporate accounts. For us it's about service delivery and personal touch. Our customers are like minded and do not compare us to the cheaper high volume providers out there. We pride ourselves on knowing all our customers which allows us to anticipate the various needs and suggest technologies that will benefit them.
